Homes and Horses Contest Rules and Regulations

1. To be automatically eligible to enter this contest you must purchase one of our advertising packages listed under properties for sale, horses for sale or barnyard pets section. Anyone who advertises in either of the 3 sections are automatically entered. One winner will be chosen monthly from each of the 3 advertising categories, providing there are new ads posted in the 3 categories throughout the year.

2. Contestants are asked to post at least one photo that stands out from their regular ad photos. All photos will be viewed by our judge's each month.

3. When posting your photos regardless of the category, please keep in mind the theme should coincide with the category, the month, and this site. Try to capture the natural beauty that exists in equestrian properties, horses, pets and barns. Your horse or pets may be standing, running, with horses playing , mingling with barnyard pets or just horsing around the barnyard. We also invite humorous images that make us laugh. Choose whatever you feel would be the most heart warming original photo. It is not mandatory to have horses in the background scene of your property listings, the same rule also applies for the horse ads it is not mandatory to have barns or properties in the background.

4. Winning photos will appear on a 12 month calendar featuring their winning photo displayed on the month they were declared a winner. Each winner will receive a Homes & Horses calendar as a prize which contains their winning photo. Total value for each prize is $19.95 Cdn. Total amount of prizes to be distributed is 36 since there is 12 winners from each of the 3 categories.

5. Winning contestants are asked to mail us an original photo (please use cardboard in between) Do not write on or mount the photo, use a separate piece of paper to write your name file no. and category with your winning month.

6. Entry must not be previously published.

7. Photos will not be returned. All photos become the property of Homes & Horses. Winning entries constitutes permission to use photos in any manner the publisher chooses.

8. Judge's may reclassify entries to best suit a category. Judge's decision is final.

9. All winning entries must be postmarked no later then July 15, 2010.

10. Contest will run from June to June each and every year commencing in 2006 since this is when our web site was established.

Best of Luck to all our contestants, we are sorry that we cannot offer this contest to everyone since there would be far too many photos to review making it very difficult to choose only one winner a month.
